About the Region

The GCMA North West Region represents golf clubs across Cheshire, Lancashire, and Cumbria, along with our colleagues from North Wales. We are a vibrant, engaged community of golf club managers, industry professionals, and emerging leaders dedicated to advancing the profession and supporting one another.

We provide a collaborative platform for professional development, networking, and the sharing of best practices. Our region supports its members through:

Education & Development

We host several business-focused regional meetings each year — including our AGM, Spring, Summer, and Autumn meetings. These sessions feature expert-led presentations, guest speakers, open forums, and practical discussions on the issues that matter most to club managers. Members are welcome to invite club officials or staff to attend.

Networking & Support

The North West Region fosters a strong peer network that encourages collaboration, guidance, and career growth. We are proud of the relationships built within the region and the supportive environment that helps managers thrive at every stage of their career.

Competitions & Community

We enjoy annual inter-regional matches against Yorkshire and the Midlands, which are friendly yet competitive events offering exceptional networking opportunities and long-lasting friendships.
